Florentino Gonchan hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. When Otávio Arce came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the S.E. Cachoeirinha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Otávio Arce couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Recife in the 24th minute of play forced Gladiadores's goalkeeper Claudio Iturri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of S.E. Cachoeirinha booed when Gladiadores was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugenio Checa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gladiadores's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Víktor Castro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. In the 66th minute Zé Recife shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudio Iturri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Costel Eta received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Betão de Amaral came out and tried to block the shot, but Costel Eta slotted it home off the left post making it 4-1 in the 72nd minute. S.E. Cachoeirinha's Betão de Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Costel Eta in the 76th minute of play. Otávio Arce took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Claudio Iturri. Claudio Iturri dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. Otávio Arce hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match.
