The referee ignored Aparecidense AA's protests and gave Feliks Majdoch a yellow card for diving instead. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcus Netto in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Geovani Velasco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Geovani Velasco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcus Netto, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 90th minute Naldo Gerber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gernando Falcão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geovani Velasco came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Aparecidense AA's Marcus Netto. But to his dismay, Marcus Netto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. There was no doubt that Aparecidense AA were the better team. Aparecidense AA's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
